Russia develops a humanitarian project to improve the level of Russian language proficiency abroad

Russian teachers resume full-time teaching at schools in Kyrgyzstan. This year, 29 teachers from 14 regions of Russia came to the Kyrgyz Republic to teach local schoolchildren the Russian language and other general education subjects.

The project "Russian Teacher Abroad" carried out by the Ministry of Education is a part of global program aimed at improving the quality of teaching the Russian language abroad.

“We regularly receive positive feedback from our counterparts, local school principals, parents. The number of project participants is increasing, so we will continue to work on its development”, stated Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov.

This year, 29 teachers of literature and Russian language, mathematics, physics, as well as primary school teachers will work in 23 schools in Kyrgyzstan.

The humanitarian project "Russian Teacher Abroad" has been implemented in Kyrgyzstan since 2019. With the help of the Russian teachers local children improve their reading skills and their level of Russian, show interest in literature, participate in the all-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren. In addition, high level of Russian language provides an opportunity to enter Russian universities and other higher educational institutions.

As part of a humanitarian project of the Ministry of Education, Russian teachers also work in other countries, including Tajikistan, Mongolia, Vietnam and Serbia.
